The hare has always held a special place in my heart from my childhood days on the banks of the River Shannon where wildlife flourished and every corner in the landscape held something living and fascinating. The hare was the athlete of the fields and was a master of speed and concealment. Horace became more than a hare to me in essence as he has insisted a personality that is endearing and never boring. Some day, his ‘Print’ will come as he is already written into text and storyline. Meanwhile he is happy to grace other loving homes with his portrait.
