‘The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have faith , for to have faith is to have wings’ J.M. Barrie The Little White Bird.
I am one of the privileged humans to be surrounded by birds in a garden that is removed from the urban context and has tres, bushes and flowers. The swallows take up residence in April and leave again in September while the starlings move back in excited murmurations high in the sky before choosing particular homes in which to find sustenance in Winter. Blackbirds, Thrushes, Bluetits, Robins, Wrens and Finches are constant companions.
